King's Bruton

King's Bruton, founded in 1519, is a co-educational boarding school in Somerset that also welcomes day pupils, who are fully integrated into the boarding houses. The school prides itself on being non-selective and catering to a range of mixed-ability students, ensuring that all pupils are supported to reach their academic potential. With a recent 500-year anniversary, King's Bruton has seen the opening of a new Sixth Form centre, fitness suite and music school, and the introduction of BTECs into the curriculum.

The school aims to provide a holistic education for its students and fosters a warm, supportive boarding community. Known for its friendly atmosphere and down-to-earth nature, King's Bruton is described as a happy school. Around 65% of the students are boarders, with 70% of them staying at weekends, and the school features a full boarding programme.

In terms of academic performance, King's Bruton has seen impressive exam results in 2022, with 57.97% of A Level grades being A & A* and 47.70% of GCSE grades being A & A*.
